This phenomenon is completely normal and is a result of the manufacturing process of the Chicco Next2Me Forever inflatable mattress. The new mattresses are made of polyurethane foam, which has a distinctive smell reminiscent of paint. Even the most modern foams, produced with innovative technologies, are not odorless. However, it is worth noting that the smell is a natural effect of foam production and will soon cease to be noticeable.
To speed up the process of odor disappearance, we recommend:
1. Remove the foam insert from the mattress cover.
2. Place the cartridge in a well-ventilated room, preferably with access to fresh air.
3. Leave the cartridge to air out for several days, rotating it from time to time to ensure even ventilation.
4. After a few days of airing, put the insert back into the cover. Such a process will significantly speed up the removal of the odor and allow you to comfortably use the mattress in a shorter period of time. Remember that the presence of a slight odor does not affect the quality or durability of the mattress and will completely disappear over time.
